PRENNESSIA LAMBERT, FOUNDER & CEO

Prennessia Lambert lost her son Elliott Salder and nephew Darron Davis to Sickle Cell Disease, which motivated her to create an organization to support other families affected by the same condition. She has over three decades of experience in childhood education and understands the significance of education and advocacy in promoting policies that offer equal access to resources for everyone. Prennessia's personal experience with the disease has instilled in her a profound sense of hope and faith, and she is now a Minster with an unbreakable devotion to God.

Sickle Cell Disease can have a severe impact not only on the child but also on their family, particularly if they lack knowledge about the condition. As a single mother who lacked the resources and knowledge she needed, Prennessia is committed to ensuring that others in similar situations receive the support and resources they need to cope with this challenging illness.

Early in her son's diagnosis, he became part of a case study for medical interns to better understand the impact of SCD which led him in his adult years to become very astute about his illness and a great advocate for himself and others.

Prennessia Lambert, holds a Master's Degree, in Organizational Leadership,BS in Human Services, and Educational Studies. Prennessia has a reputation for advocacy and hard work. She has served on several councils and governing boards, including the Board Chair for Confident Girl Mentoring Program, Inc., the HCCBG Advisory Council of Forsyth County, the governing body of NAACP-Buffalo Chapter, the Volunteer Lawyers Task Force of WNY, the governing body of Episcopal Dioceses of WNY, the Education Curriculum Committee-Nativity Miguel School, and the Disproportionate Minority Representation (DMR) Committee Juvenile Justice of Erie County.

Through her dedication to the legacy of her son and nephew, Prennessia has demonstrated the transformative power of love and the importance of supporting those affected by Sickle Cell Disease. She is a confident and committed advocate who is making a real difference in the lives of families in need.
